My outlook rests on three civilisational pillars, each one grounded in a personal pilgrimage that continues to breathe life into the vision of Jatayu Rise. I am glad to share these pictures from my own archive with you.
Egypt is the pillar of Absolute Verticality and deep roots and meanings. Standing on the timeless granite of Mount Sinai, above a sea of roaring, dawn lit clouds, I felt I had reached the spine of human history itself. It is the unyielding place where the eternal Law was first carved into the fabric of reality for the Western world.
Turkey is the pillar of Harmonious Synthesis. At the crossroads of Istanbul, suspended between Europe and Asia, I stood beneath the dome of Hagia Sophia and looked up into what felt like the mathematical infinity of the universe’s first thought. It is living proof that civilisations which seem to contrast do more than coexist. They illuminate one another.
India is the pillar of Living Devotion. Reading the Ramayana or holding the Bhagavad Gita as my daily compass, I understood that ancient texts are not static artefacts but living, dynamic forces. In my own reading of them, they can dissolve rigid worldly hierarchy in favour of one undivided, living truth.
Together, the silent peaks of Sinai, the majestic dome of Istanbul and the deep roots of Vedic wisdom form an unshakeable bridge. From this bridge, my work looks toward a united human civilisation beneath one shared sky.
Jatayu Rise hosts public online conversations approximately every two weeks. These interviews bring together scholars, writers, artists and cultural thinkers to explore philosophy, culture, literature and shared human understanding.
Open to all. Details for each conversation, including the guest, date and Zoom access information, will be announced in advance.
